I am re-doing my son's room as he is turning 3 next month. My husband is building a loft bed for him and our theme is Disneys Kingdom Hearts. I had a tough time finding room decor so I thought I would be creative and my projects turned out great.
Step 1 - I painted an old picture frame that I bought for $10, This may take a few days, be patient and let your paint dry completely before moving on to step 2.
Step 2 - While you are waiting for your paint to dry, find the picture or characters that you want to put on the picture frame. I found some Kingdom Hearts pictures on Google and printed them in color in different sizes.
Step 3 - Cut your pictures out, I was able to do most of it with scissors but an Exacto knife was magical.
Step 4 - Your picture frame should be dry and your pictures are ready to be glued on.
- Use your Mod Podge and brush on the back of your pictures and put in place. Wait about 15min before continuing to step 5
Step 5 - Pour a little Mod Podge all over your surface then spread it out evenly with a foam brush. This step looks scary but I promise it will dry clear.
Step 6 - Apply 3 - 4 coats to ensure everything is sealed. Wait 15 min between each coat. If you see brush strokes you can lightly sand them with a light grit sand paper and then apply more Mod Podge.
Presto your specialize decor themed frame is done.
For this I printed a picture, then used Mod Podge to glue it down, then wrapped it all on the corners, super easy. Then put a couple layers of Mod Podge all on top of it, to seal it all together.
